- I think I'm thankful that Grace is getting more interested in the potty. It would be nice to change fewer than a dozen diapers each day. Grace actually went #1 before bathtime once this week and earned a snowman sticker!
- I'm thankful that Matthew & Grace are bonding well as siblings. There is nothing cuter than seeing them make each other giggle!
- I love that Grace enjoys books so much. She has developed an incredible attention span when it comes to books. Also, she occasionally likes to pretend to be a librarian or a teacher and holds her book turned out as she reads it. She did this at the library after storytime and the librarian loved it!
- I'm thankful for childrens' imagination. At breakfast one morning, Grace said "[ba]nana's sleeping" when I gave her an unpeeled banana. Then she added that it was cold when she took the peel off.
- Matthew has always liked sucking on his hands, so I try to intercept with a pacifier since I can take away a pacifier but not a hand. However, this week I've noticed him sucking on his paci & his left thumb. So sneaky!
- I love Grace's enthusiasm for animals. Last Friday was "Go Texan Day", the kick off for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. To celebrate, her school had one of the trail ride groups stop so the kids could see the wagons, riders and horses and even got to pet the horses! She was so enthralled with the trail riders that she got mad when I tried to turn her away for a picture in front of them!
- I had to laugh at bathtime once this week when Grace undressed herself, then removed her diaper and rolled it up just like I do to dispose of it!
- I'm grateful for family dinners. One of the best times to be at our house is toward the end of dinner when Grace likes to sing a medley of songs she knows. Grace gets super animated and Matthew smiles as he listens and watches the entertainment!
- Time is moving too fast! I noticed this week that Grace has started using the pronoun "I".
- I think its cute that whenever we listen to religious music, Grace calls it "baby Jesus song"
