Thanks filled Sundays

- You learn a lot about what is said in your home when you have a human parrot living with you. For instance, apparently we don't say "yes" in our house, instead we say, "uh hu.".   Also, when Matthew comes to sit with us at the dinner table he is "joining the party"!

- This week Matthew has started reaching out to touch my face and holds my arm when I change his diaper.

- I love the conclusions Grace draws sometimes. Last weekend my sister and her family came over to play and cook/eat dinner. Since it was a larger gathering, we decided to eat in the dining room instead of at the breakfast table. Because of this, Grace declared, "It's Grace's birthday!" (which happened to be the last meal we ate in the dining room)!

- Matthew is 4 months old!  He is at 95% in length, 81% in weight and 57% in head size!  How did we end up with such a big baby?!  We were also given the go ahead to start with solid foods.  Perhaps next week there will be a pic for y'all of this momentous occasion!

- I'm so thankful that Grace likes her doctor! At Matthew's 4 month check-up Grace was excited to see Dr. Sara. In fact, she went looking for the doctor when she got tired of waiting!  Luckily Dr. Sara was happy to see Grace and ready for us when Grace found her!

- It's fun to watch Grace greet her friends when they arrive at our house for a playdate.  If she gets to the door before I do, she opens the mail slot and says "Hello"!

- I'm thankful for baby Tylenol. Matthew got his first cold and a slight fever yesterday. It's a wonder he hasn't gotten sick earlier since Grace likes stealing his pacifiers, sticking them in her mouth and then putting them back in his mouth when I'm not looking!

- I love how Grace likes to tickle her chin on Matthew's fuzzy hair.

- I'm thankful for Grace's creativity. Just yesterday she made up a new verse to "The Wheels on the Bus". It goes, "the daddy on the bus says I love you"! Needless to say, this made Jeff's day.

- I'm thankful that Jeff and I were raised by loving and protective parents. I attended an anti-sex trafficking conference Saturday where I learned a lot about this terrible crime being committed to our children all over the world, including Houston.  Can you believe there are slaves in the land of the free?  Parents, don't take your eyes off your kids when they become pre-teens/teens.  This is when they are more vulnerable than ever to these predators.  And the internet is not their friend!

- I love seeing Jeff and Grace hanging out together and how much Grace adores her daddy!
