- I love watching Grace's vocabulary grow. Recently she has added the verb "need" to her vocabulary. My favorite uses so far are:
"I need more books!"
"I need birthday cake!"
- I love how Matthew is so quick to smile.
- I love how Grace pretends to nurse, burp and diaper different animals and toys. This week it was lamby-pie and a 2-inch figure of Elmo!
- Even though it's a bit frustrating for Jeff, I love that Matthew is a mama's boy. It's amazing to feel such adoration from someone.
- It's astonishing listening to Grace add to our dinner conversation. One evening I was telling Jeff what all we had done that day and Grace kept interjecting details of our day that I had left out. Like the ocelot at the zoo peeked its head through a door, but then it was closed by a zoo keeper. Grace would then say, "Where's the ocelot?" And she also told how a boy was hit by her swing. (A friend wandered under her swing and got whacked in the face.)
- I'm impressed by Grace's memory. One morning this week as I was getting her dressed for school, she had her stuffed polar bear (Lowly) bouncing on her knee and singing, "This is the way the cowboys ride, the cowboys ride...". This is a favorite if Grace's. In fact, I did this knee ride/song with Matthew for the first time as Grace watched, and Grace giggled the whole time!
- I love seeing how happy Grace & Matthew make their grandparents...and how happy their grandparents make them.
- It was so cute seeing Grace and [Cousin] Helen greet each other at church. They were sitting in different sections and not expecting to see each other. Both started squeeling and reaching their arms out for each other (in the middle of the church service). Then Grace wiggled off her chair and walked over to Helen.
