I've been inspired by some other blogging friends to be a more regular blogger. So this week I'm starting a regular post called "Thanks filled Sundays" where I hope to capture moments that I loved and or don't want to forget from the past week.
- I love how Grace calls my new haircut a "key-cut" even though she can say the word hair.
- I love the sound of a pacifier being vigirously sucked by my sweet baby Matthew.
- I love the joyful noise Grace makes when she tries to sing (Jingle bell all the way, Old MacDonald, Ja Jacob jingle jingle, etc). Usually it comes out as a medley of all the songs she knows!
- Although this week has been filled with too many rear blow outs of diapers, I'm thankful that Matthew's digestive system is working and he is getting enough breast milk to grow big and strong.
- I love how after Grace accomplishes a task she's been asked to do (like put her dirty clothes in the basket) she says "Thank you Grace".
- I love how it feels when Matthew falls asleep on my chest and his body becomes limp, with both arms dangling on either side.
- I love how Grace calls eye glasses "goo goo goggles" (thanks dr. Seuss)!
- I love how Matthew sometimes raises one eyebrow and then flashes a grin at me. If he's anything like his dad, he'll be a great flirt!
- I love how Grace pretends to put on deoderant using one of my empty vitamin bottles, even if it is a bit annoying that she has to come to me to remove the child-proof top every time before she uses it.
- I love how Grace and Matthew can make each other smile. I hope they grow up to be great playmates and eventually life-long friends.
- I'm so thankful my awesome hubby is back in town after his 2 day business trip! He does so much to help with the kids at home. In the morning before he leaves for work, he helps make Grace's breakfast. He tries to be home by 6 for dinner with the family. He bathes Grace, brushes her teeth and reads bed time stories to her. And at night he even helps out when Matthew wakes, either by soothing back to sleep or sometimes giving him a bottle. He truely is an exceptional daddy and husband! I love you Jeff!
- Finally, I'm thankful for my wonderful father who celebrated his 70th birthday this week! He is a model father, husband, father-in-law, grandfather, boss, coworker, friend and human being! I love you Dad!
