- I love the way toddlers run! Grace has a spring in her step that makes her cheeks and the curls in her hair bounce up and down as she giggles to her destination. If only we all could run with such pure joy!
- I love hearing Grace use the names of her friends when she is playing by herself. One day she picked up a toy cell phone and said,"Hello Cici! Hello Margaret!" Cici and Margaret are my close friend's daughters and the girls who gift Grace with many hand-me-down clothes and toys.
- I'm excited that Matthew is starting to learn how to hook his arm around mine when I carry him on my hip.
- I love how Grace hid behind a towel when I tried to blow dry her hair for the first time.
- I'm thankful for cute little shoes and socks that keep Matthew's feet warm, even if they get stinky after being worn two days straight!
- I love seeing how quickly Grace learns from everyone. This week she learned how to open our sliding glass door from an older friend who was over to play. Guess we have to child proof that door now!
- I'm so thankful that Matthew has started sleeping 6+ hours at night (4 nights in a row). He even slept 8 hours Friday night!
- I love how Grace has already developed a keen sense of direction. She knows the way to our local park and the way to our house from the park.
- I love how Grace refers to her stuffed animals as "friends" and how she calls Curious George "Georgie".
- Although Grace isn't a fan of dolls, she still has a mothering instinct. This week I saw her get a wipe and a diaper and give Curious George a diaper change!
- I'm thankful that when Grace stuck her finger in her diaper, she came to show me what was on the end of her finger rather than spreading it all over something in the house!
- I'm thankful for Huggies diapers. Matthew had a series of rear blowout that wore me out. Huggies isn't perfect, but the rate of blow out occurances has dramatically improved!
- I'm thankful for my happy girl who sings "dee-dee-daaa" repeatedly when she is in a good mood.
- I am also so thankful for all of my friends who are moms and give me much needed parenting advice when I most need it! (I'm also thankful for email, facebook and the internet for facilitating the sharing of this advice!)
