- Grace bit the other girl in her class. We thought she had gotten past this behavior last year, but alas it reappeared. 11/7
- I asked Grace, "Do you like blueberries?" She replied, "Of course I do!" 11/8
- Grace will now let me floss between all of her teeth with her cool yellow princess flosser!
- Grace asked me if a girl at the playground was adopted like she was. This is the first time I've heard her refer to herself as adopted.
- Grace woke around 9:30pm with some coughing and complaining of a fever. After giving her some medicine and water and tucking her back in bed and closing the door she said, "Sweet dreams" three times until I responded with, "Sweet dreams sweety." Then I heard, "Thank you Mommy!" Talk about making a mommy's day!
- Both Grace & Matthew had their first plane flights this Thanksgiving holiday. We headed to Nashville to visit Uncle Steve, Aunt Casey and baby Jacob. Thanks to Grandpa Ron (who drove from Houston) we didn't have to check any bags and thanks to Matthew's peanut allergy, we got to board the plane early to clean the seats (we flew SW Air). The kids did great on the plane, but we all struggled to sleep in a room all together. However, it was fun to be with family fir the holidays and see a bit of fall.
- Grace woke up with a dry diaper for the first time! What a great thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! 11/22
- While in Nashville, Grace protested sleeping alone withmatthew be saying, "We were sad because you weren't here!" Thus one of us stayed in the room from then on until everyone was asleep.
- After seeing an airplane rocking horse in the Nashville airport, Grace told me, "When my butterfly rocking horse dies, then I can get an airplane rocking horse!" She proceeded to tell me that her butterfly rocking horse was dying. 11/24
- Matthew is cruising like crazy, but refuses to walk without holding onto something. He's generally a happy kid, bit still mama's boy, especially when away from his usual surroundings.
- Back at home, Grace is getting good at delaying bedtime with a multitude of excuses, but my favorite is that we forgot to say our prayers. It had been a while since I had said them with her, but I was surprised and pleased when she remembered to pray for Molly, her birth mother.
