Siblings

- Grace continues to show signs of being a thoughtful big sister. This week she proactively raised the sunshade on Matthew's stroller before leaving the house, she gave him chew toys to play with while I cooked dinner, and when he was upset in the car she tried to distract him by laughing and singing to him.

- We've finally achieved consistent success in sleep training Matthew this week! We initially tried sleep training about 3 weeks ago, but failed due to ear infection, side effects from antibiotics, and eczema (so bad he'd wake himself scratching his face). Now he falls asleep within 5-45 minutes and stays asleep 10+ hours straight! If only getting more sleep reversed the white hairs and wrinkles I got during the 6+ months without consistently good sleep!

- Grace's terrible twos reappeared a few times this week when Grace bit Daddy and the next day bit Matthew. However, I didn't realize Matthew had been bitten until I took off his clothes at bath time and found a bruise on his arm with perfect little teeth marks. I knew something bad had happened earlier that day when I had left the room briefly to dispose of a diaper and heard Matthew errupt into a loud cry. When I asked Grace what had happened, she said she had pinched Matthew...a lie!

- Grace has been insisting on using her potty with more frequency and success. I think my homework this week is to read a potty training guide and implement it ASAP!
