- One evening at dinner, Matthew was whining for more sweet potatoes. Next thing I know, Grace is correcting Matthew by signing and saying, "More please, Matthew!"
- Grace has taken to spitting loogies out into the garbage can, sink or toilet (kind of a good thing since she had a lot of congestion). I asked Jeff if he taught her this. He said no, but was proud anyway!
- Matthew is babbling more each day and has started experimenting with sounds he can make while blowing air out his mouth when his tong is stuck out.
- After walking about a block to the library for storytime, Grace reminded me that we had books we needed to return to the library! So we turned around and got them.
- Grace has already given her brother a bad nick name - Dookie boy - and goes in time out for calling him by it.
- Matthew has mastered waving hello and it is so cute! After seeking my appoval with a quick glance at me, he'll even wave and smile to adoring strangers.
- It's funny that Grace doesn't pronounce the 'S' is words that start with 'S'. Like snack, sleep, stick, etc.
- Lately when Matthew is done sleeping and wants out of his crib, in addition to crying, he picks up both his legs and repeatedly pounds the mattress with his feet...quite a workout if you've ever trired to do it.
- We started potty training yesterday and we still have a ways to go, but thankfully chocolate bribes seem to be appreciated. In fact, Grace said, "Chocolate milk is belicious!" (not a typo)
- Matthew is really getting good at sitting for long periods without falling over. This has allowed him to play with some different toys and even share a toy with Grace on occasion!
