- After Memaw's death, we bought some age-appropriate books to read to Grace about death. Our favorite is "The Invisible String." It talks about how even when someone dies that they remain in our heart. As Jeff was putting Grace to bed one evening, he aske Grace where Memaw was and she responded, "In my heart." Then she added, "I better sleep on my back so I don't smoosh her."
- Matthew started saying bye-bye along with waving his hand. 9/25/12
- We moved Grace into a toddler bed after she started climbing out of her crib regularly. 9/29
- Cousin Helen turned 2 this week and got a new tricycle for her birthday. While patiently waiting her turn Grace said, "Can I try it on my bottom?" 9/30/12
- Matthew woke up from a long nap one afternoon and Grace said, "What happened to your hair Matthew? Disgusting!" 10/3/12
