Today Grace and I were visiting our favorite neighbors across the street. They are always fun to visit because they have 3 older kids who all adore Grace (ages 17, 15 and 9), plus two parents who love her as much or more than the kids and they have a house full of animals...3 dogs, a guinea pig, a bunny rabbit, and two turtles.
Unfortunately, Grace decided to see what happens when you pull on the fur above the ear of one of the dogs. The dog was in a crate and probably felt trapped and snapped onto Grace's wrist, making a tiny puncture wound in the bottom of her wrist. Grace cried and was upset, but thankfully it hasn't decreased her love for dogs much. However, I hope that it has made her more cautious around animals. Truthfully, it was a good lesson for her that "biting hurts" because she has on occasion bitten Mommy, Daddy and Grandma Lisa.
