The last 24 hours have been a world wind of events….
1:00 am – We received the call from Oklahoma that Molly, the birth mom, was in labor
2:30 am – Jeff and I headed for Oklahoma City where one of the worst ice storms in history was brewing
3:30 am – Severe thunderstorms with nearly zero visibility hit Huntsville as we were driving through
4:00 am – Pit stop at Bucky’s (if you’ve never been, you should)
9:20 am – We hit the ice storm in Oklahoma (beautiful, but slows down the cruising pace)
11:16 am –Miraculously, we arrived at Deaconess Hospital in one piece and at precisely the time that baby our daughter was was born!
12:15 pm – We finally got to meet, hold, bath, change, feed and name GRACE ELIZABETH…and it was all worth it! We will likely be in Oklahoma City for the next week to take care of the paper work for the adoption. Pray that all the paper work goes as smoothly as our drive up!

Hello Grace!
Gotta love those marshmallow cheeks! Grace's first hair wash
Grace sunning herself under the heatlamp after her bath
Christi feeding Grace her first bottle
Grace cleaned up and with a full tummy
Mom gives Grace a kiss!
Look at those long fingers!

She is so beautiful! Congratulations again. - Kim
